Basic Writers World Views

Basic Writers World Views

Benefits to writing your own world views are that certain people would understand what you are writing, the paper is easier to write, and you would have a better understanding of your thought process. People who know you or come from your background would understand your view because it is much the same. Writing a paper about what you think and feel is very easy for certain topics that you know about and understand. The more you think about what you are going to write; the better you understand how you think and what is going on in your mind. These are the benefits of drafting a paper in your own world view.

Bizzell has a point. Different views cannot coexist. It is like you trying to decide that they should do what society says or follow their heart. This just does not seem possible depending on the type of person you are. Some people who have the mind set to “play both fields”  are really good writers. I think they have a balance of both views. They apply it in life. Some people have to teach themselves to think that way. Everything has two sides to every story, what you think and what they think. People can and cannot coexist with totally different world views.

  2. So you can use your world views as a way to "build common ground" with your audience, good stuff! Being able to play both fields IS a habit of "good" writers. It's like playing devil's advocate; if you can guess a differing point of view from a potential audience member, then you can prepare to address their concerns in your paper and STILL be able to persuade them! Keep it up!
