When I write a paper I don’t read over it at all. I just wait till the last minute and check for mistakes. I turn it in just like that. The benefit for looking at the draft after it’s done is to make corrections and write some things better. A person can make sure what their writing makes sense. They can make it better than it was. This is a result to reading a draft after it’s done. I guess I should read my drafts now.
I can apply the “consider the evidence” information to a draft of personal experience by referring to a personal experience and describing the experience. Whatever happens to me or someone I know is evidence of my personal experience. I just state what I know about the event or situation. This is how you can apply evidence to a draft of personal experience.
The useful tidbit from the “Academic Writing is an Analysis” section is to take parts of a subject and writ how and why questions about it. The section the needs more explanation is the section when it talks about a question is not know at it. What does it mean?
The section in the article and the rubric are about the same. The teacher is more specific about how she wants the papers to come out. The article just gives a brief explanation.
good points. the good thing about this class is that it forces you to do several drafts. so where this may not have been a habit for many students before, hopefully it will be by the end of the semester.
ReplyDeletei'll definitely be discussing what it means to "engage in open inquiry" with an argument in class; lots of people had questions about this part of the essay, so this will be good to address! Thanks!
